Scissor Warrior — Comprehensive Return & Refund Policy

Effective for U.S. Domestic Orders Only

At Scissor Warrior, we stand behind the quality of our professional tools and want every customer to purchase with confidence. This policy covers all returns and refunds for shears and accessories. Please read the section that applies to your product.


Section 1: Michiko Select Shears — 14-Day Risk-Free Trial & Return Policy

This policy applies exclusively to Michiko Select Shears purchased under the 14-day risk-free program. You may use the shears in your professional setting for up to 14 days and return them for a full refund if you are not satisfied.

1. Eligibility for the 14-Day Trial

  • Trial Period: Begins on the date the shears are delivered (based on carrier tracking). Returns must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery.
  • One-Time Limit: This trial is limited to one (1) set of shears per customer, household, and billing address. Customers who previously used and returned a trial shear are not eligible for additional trials.
  • Professional Use: This program is intended for licensed or practicing professionals. We may request professional credentials or limit quantities if unusual activity is detected.

2. Accepted Return Conditions

We accept shears used during the trial period as long as they meet the following:

  • Minor Wear Accepted: Light cosmetic wear consistent with two weeks of professional use is acceptable.
  • Original Contents: Returns must include the original box, packaging materials, and any “Gifts With Purchase” (GWP). Missing GWP items may result in a deduction equal to their retail value.

3. Exclusions (Returns Not Accepted)

Returns will be refused if the shears show:

  • Severe Damage: Bent blades, broken points, dropped shears, or signs of misuse.
  • Unauthorized Modification: Sharpening, disassembly, or alteration by anyone other than Scissor Warrior or an authorized technician.
  • Intentional Damage: Any deliberate or malicious harm.

4. Return Shipping & Refunds

  • Free Return Shipping: For approved 14-day trial returns, Scissor Warrior will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost.
  • Inspection: All shears undergo inspection by our Quality Control team.
  • Approval Timeline: Refunds are issued within 24–48 business hours after inspection approval.
  • Bank Processing: Your financial institution may take 3–10 business days to post the refund.
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable.

Section 2: General Return & Refund Policy (Holders, Cases, Accessories & Non-Trial Shears)

This section covers all returnable items other than Michiko Select Shears under the 14-day risk-free program, including accessories and shears returned outside the trial period.

1. Returns Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery (carrier tracking).
  • Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • Defective Products: Return shipping is free.
  • Non-Defective Products (Customer Preference): The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Shears Outside the Trial Window

Shears returned outside the 14-day risk-free program must be unused and in perfect, resalable condition.
Used shears are not eligible for return or refund.

2. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee applies to non-defective products that have been opened but remain unused:

  • Fee: $20 or 15% of the product price (whichever is greater).
  • Purpose: Covers inspection, cleaning, and repackaging.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Used or damaged shears (unless returned under the 14-day trial).
  • Final sale items.
  • Gift cards.

4. Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
Original shipping and return shipping costs (for non-defective items) are non-refundable.


How to Start a Return (All Products)

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at info@scissorwarrior.com with your order number, item you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. We will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number and provide instructions.
  3. Ship the item using a trackable carrier service.
    • (For trial shears or defective items, we will provide a prepaid label.)
  4. Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.

Scissor Warrior is not responsible for return packages that are lost or damaged in transit.


Policy Updates

Scissor Warrior reserves the right to update or change this policy at any time. The version posted on our website at the time of purchase applies to that order.
