Handles Guide
Offset Handle
Short thumb side → easy to hold and control.
Great for beginners.
Comfortable choice for larger shears (6.5" or longer).
Symmetric (Classic) Handle
The moving and still blades are aligned.
Wide vertical and horizontal motion → allows many cutting techniques.
Longer thumb side → gives strong cutting power with symmetric handles.
Even though the handles are symmetric, these shears are not recommended for ambidextrous use.
Crane Handle
Crane handle bends more than standard offset.
Easier to cut without lifting the elbow.
But limits the range of cutting techniques.
Ergonomic 3D
3D handle twists the rings for a natural fit.
Provides comfort, reduces strain, and adds stability.
Finger Rest
The pinky is supported here.
With a finger rest, the shears feel steadier and make cutting easier.
Hump (Camel Back)
Scissors designed with a hump provide extra stability. Similar to the finger rest, whether or not to use a hump is a matter of personal preference and does not impact cutting performance.
